TICR talks  - talking about net zero refrigeration. Discussing emissions reduction opportunities, technologies and drivers.

Over the next few months we will be hosting short free webinars to discuss about emissions reductions opportunities and challenges of net zero cooling. This series of 40minute interactive events will be led by sector experts and will share some of the initial findings and work-in-progress of research and site investigations from the DESNZ-funded investigation into real energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.  Each event will focus on a key sector for which refrigeration and cooling is critical:

  • Datacentres
  • Refrigerated transport
  • Industrial, chemical & pharmaceutical processing
  • Food manufacture
  • Cold storage
  • Commercial supermarkets

The outcomes of this project, which these events and research will feed into will be a comprehensive data-driven and whole systems approach to support national decarbonisation strategy and policy in the UK.  This will take the form of technology roadmaps, sector specific benchmarks, information and training resources and importantly, government policy recommendations.

You can contribute to this work and share your experience of refrigeration systems by joining one or more of these interactive events.  See our Events pages for the lastest events and registration or sign up to the website to receive updates about new events.

Event formats will include talks on:

  • Understanding the emissions profile for the sector
  • What we can learn from on-site investigations
  • Panel Discussion: future actions, technologies and policies
